Scope and Content

An “Official Receipt for Temettü Tax” issued to Serviyan, an Armenian grocer from the Hüdavendigâr Province, Bursa District. The receipt is dated 1317 Hijri (1899-1900) and includes one Ottoman tax stamp along with two official seals, one of which bears the date 1319 Hijri (1901-1902).
