The reason for the execution of this document is as follows: Since it was decided on 30 September of the year 319 that, from the profits of the company of our flour (un) factory—established under the name New Factory (Fabrika-yı Cedid) upon one hundred and forty-six shares of the Aşuroğlu Mill—an amount of two and a half liras per share would be distributed, I received, for the thirteen shares that belong to me in the said factory, the amount of two and a half liras per share. I took this amount, totaling two and a half liras, by hand from Süleyman Efendi, the clerk, from the cash box of the said factory, and I acknowledge receipt thereof.
