Most Reverend Iskenderian V., Christ is Risen—Blessed is the Resurrection! Happy Easter, and many years to you. I received your card—mille merci. The task you entrusted to me has already been completed in advance. Precisely on the feast day of his own name, he rose with Christ from his already “martyred” state. I hope you have received my letters and photographs of April 9, 10, and 17. We performed the Holy Week ceremonies with great solemnity. Yesterday the funeral of Archbishop (Harutiun) Rupian was held. His body was taken to the San Lorenzo cemetery, to the dedicated chapel of the Propaganda, number 33. On this occasion, I also visited that enviable resting place of the departed, as well as the wondrous tomb of Pope Pius X nearby. V. Janchian (?)

Գերապատիւ Իսկէնտէրեան Վ. Օրհնեալ է Յարութիւնն Քրիստոսի ! Շնորհաւոր Զատիկ, շատ տարիներ։ Ընդունեցայ Ձեր քարթն, mille merci։ Ձեր յանձնարարութիւնն կատարած է par anticipation։ Ճիշդ իւր անուան տօնին օրը Քրիստոսի հետ յարեաւ իւր արդէն միւրատ վիճակէն։ Յուսամ թէ ընդունած ըլլաք 9, 10 և 17 Ապրիլ գրութիւններս ու պատկերներն։ Աւագ շաբթուան արարողութիւնները մեծաւ հանդիսութեամբ կատարեցինք։ Երէկ կատարուեցաւ Րուպեան արքեպիսկոպոսի յուղարկաւորութիւնն․ մարմինն տարուեցաւ S. Lorenzo գերեզմանատունն, Բրօբականտայի յատկացեալ մատուռն, թիւ 33։ Այս առթիւ այցելեցի նաև մեռելոց այս նախանձելի վայրն և մօտն եղող Պիոս Թ. Քահանայապետին սքանչելի գերեզմանն։ ?ՎՃանճեան
