This card offers a glimpse into the summer of 1902, beginning in the fashionable retreat of Prinkipo—the largest of the Princes' Islands in the Sea of Marmara. The sender, N. Mamigonian, penned this to Mademoiselle Jane de la Mare in Perrigny-lès-Dijon, France. The front showcases a classic view of the Maiden’s Tower, labeled here as the Tour de Léandre, with the hazy skyline of the Hagia Sophia and the historic peninsula visible across the water. It was published by Ludwigsohn Frères, a well-known postcard firm operating out of the Karaköy district at the time. On the reverse, the handwritten notation "Imprimé" suggests the sender was savvy enough to use the cheaper "printed matter" rate.
