Property Deed #19Scope and Content
Property deed — Yüreğir, Adana (February 1909 / 1325). Imperial Title Deed (Sened-i Hâkānî) recording the transfer of agricultural land in the village of Sakızlı, subdistrict of Yüreğir, district and province of Adana. The property consists of a field (tarla) classified as arz-ı mîrî—state land held under private usufruct rights—measuring approximately eighty-five dönüms. The parcel was formerly owned by Kalos (Kalust) Ağa Buldukyan and was transferred in February 1909 (1325) through a complete act of conveyance (ferağ) to Arapoğlu (Arapian) Leon, son of Karabet. The appraised value was recorded as 4,000, with a purchase price of 10,500. The boundaries were described as follows: to the east the field of Hasan Ağa, to the west a public road, to the north Kirkor, and to the south Artin Ağa.
We know through sources that Kalust Buldukyan had sons named Levon (died during Adana massacres in 1909), Avedis, Benyamin, and daughters Mariam (married L. Bzdigian), Persare (mrd. Mgrdich Mhsavedikian), Hripsime (mrd. G. Malakhian), Satenig (mrd. B. Kavukjian), and Hayganush (mrd. R. Najarian).
The Buldukyan family historically came from Partsrpert (37°38'12"N 35°36'21"E).Relationships
