Air Force Formal dress uniform with insignia attached. On the inside is a patch nothing that the Jacket is of 'Patriot' brand by 'Weintraub Bro's Co.' of Philidelphia. It is 'Dry Clean Only'. The silk lining contains inside pockets.
Includes dress pants with a silk stripe running down the side
The Silver Oak Leaf patches on the shoulders of the jacket displayed Rev. George P. Allen's authority as a Lieutenant Colonel.
The cross pin on the front of the jacket was the USAF Christian Chaplain badge. This badge has presedence over all other badges, therefore, soldiers were to address George P. Allen by Reverand.
The maroon and white striped ribbon is a Meritorious Service medal. It was institiuted in 1969. One earns this medal fo outstanding meritorious achievemnt or service to the US (non-combative).
The red and yellow ribbon is the National Defense Service Medal. It was instituted in 1953. One can earn this medal for honorable duty during the following dates: 1950-54, 1961-74, 1990-95.
