Description

the story of the USS Indianapolis sinking as told by the survivors. This is the ship that delivered the bomb that was dropped on Hiroshima. Its mission was so secret that only a handful of people knew its mission. Even the servicemen on the ship didn't know what they were carrying. Most people have only heard of the USS Indianapolis because of the story Captain Quint told on board the Orca in the movie Jaws. It was just a small story being told in the movie but it was a very real event. This book tells of the terrors and suffering of the survivors. A very good book for anyone interested in military history.
