Eating's Serous Business --- German Prisoners of war at Fort Custer fall to at the mess table for their noonday meal. The Germans, although shorter generally than Americans, are wiry and tough, and like all active young men, they appreciate good food. Their favorite foods seem to be potatoes and pastries and the don't care much for meat. Officers in charge of the prisoners say the Germans are very clean in their preparation of foods and that they waste nothing which can be used.Photograph Details
