Camp Susupe internment camp for Japanese civilians was a two-square-mile compound on Saipan (after the nearby shallow lake).
This camp was opened in 1944 to house 13.000 Japanese civilians and 5.000 Chamorros, Kakanas and Koreans. When it was closed on 4 July 1946, it remained a housing subdivision.Photograph Details
