There is a dedication to General Douglas MacArthur, which includes a full page portrait and calls for American women to take inspiration in his example. Includes a section with vegetarian dishes ("welcome in any household where the program of using meat only once a day is being followed" for rationing purposes). Some photos are in color. "Belonged to Julia Ereaux" is written in pencil on the first page--Possibly Julia Ereaux of Centerline or Julia Marie Ereaux of Detroit, MI
