Gold Star FamiliesDescription
Colorized image of the American Cemetery and Memorial in Luxembourg, a photo of Michael F Ladanowski's grave paster in corner (also circled on larger pic). Mailed in a carbboard tube to Emily Ladanowski (his sister) on 5746 McDougall in Detroit.
Staff Sergeant Ladanowski of Hamtramck died of wounds on 15 March 1945, just one-day shy of his 26th birthday.
His family opted to have him remain buried overseas, and he rests in the American Military Cemetery in Hamm, Luxemburg Plot E, Row 6, Grave 34.
This image of the cemetery and photo of his headstone was sent rolled in the tube to Miss Emily Ladanowski at 5746 Mc Dougall. Based on what we found on what we found on Ancestry.com, Emily was Michael’s younger sister.Cataloged By
