Description

Albert Kopack's original blue service uniform worn aboard the USS Menkar. This shows his Radioman 1st class patch on the left arm, his service ribbon bar showing: American Campaign Medal, Asiatic/Pacific Campaign Medal, and Philippine Liberation Medal. Along with eagle service patch. The uniform is in good condition for its age. This ribbon bar is a replacement reproduction acquired later. "A four-piece cotton twill uniform worn by enlisted Men for dress wear. The pieces included a cap, jumper, neckerchief, and trousers. The jumper had finished cuffs with white piping as well as a back flap that had the same white piping along its border. These features set it apart from the blue undress jumper. The blue trousers had the traditional 13-button broadfall front opening, a lace up back to adjust for size, and distinctive flared bottoms."
