Description

Original uniform of Albert Kopack worn aboard the USS Menkar. On his shoulder is the radioman 3rd class patch, indicating this is an older uniform that he saved and wasn't repatched. There were likely others that were not saved due to more serious soiling that had more recent patching. This uniform is in fair condition with broken trouser button and is stained throughout but largely intact. A white cotton hat, jumper, and trouser combo worn by Enlisted Men in warm and tropical climates. This was a general duty working uniform. The trousers were button fly and otherwise of traditional design; not having the 13-button broadfall front and tie back of the blue wool trousers.
