Scope and Content

Large file folder concerning the ShoreCrest subdivision, also known as Stephenville Homes, Cambridge Estates, and Glendale Park. Contains correspondence between the township (primarily attorney Lawrence Carton, clerk Howard Roberts, engineer Craig Finnegan, and Mayor Frank Blaisdell) and the builder, Sommer Brothers. A number of large maps of the subdivision are included, showing drainage and other particulars, as are a few photographs and newspaper articles showing weather and construction issues. Also included are letters and findings from the Fairview Civic Association, Inc. The file was gathered by the town or its attorney to document the many issues the residents and town had within this development: drainage, sewage, grading, unauthorized work in Bodman Park, etc.
