Name/Title
Air Compressor/pump (WB-22)Description
This air compressor was built from an air-cooled gasoline engine. Mr. Collins built the crank shaft for this compressor. It was used with the two air tanks on the second floor to provide compressed air. The system was built to operate an air hammer to dress the stones, but it never worked. When the air pressure reached 50 psi, the belt driving the
compressor from the water power would slip. Mr. Collins went back to dressing the stones by hand.
