Cider Pully Wheel (WB 13)

Name/Title

Cider Wheel (WB-13)

Description

This is the predecessor of the steel sprocket now in place which powered the cider press. A flat belt transmitted power to the cider press from this pulley wheel. The belt kept slipping and Mr. Collins replaced it with a chain belt drive. This wooden pulley wheel probably dates back to the late 1880"s.
