Description

This machine was used to bore mortise holes, as well for use as a table saw. According to Mr. Collins, it was patterned after a similar machine manufactured by the American Sawmill Co. in Hackettstown, NJ. It was originally run using water power. An adjustable shaft collar controlled the depth of the hole, and the machine included a set of auger bits up to 2". It was a rip saw.
