Jig Saw/Scroll Saw (WB7)

Description

This is classic Collins ingenuity. All scroll saws have a "C" frame, or throat, which limits the size of the work pieces they can accommodate. This machine does not have that limitation, because the return spring is attached to the ceiling joist. The ceiling-mounted return spring and guides can be seen on the 2nd floor in front of the grain/toll bin. Two of the legs are made from a section of the back end of an automobile frame. This jig saw and the adjacent table saw (WB-6) shared the same electric motor. The drive belt would be moved from one to the other.
