Architect/Builder: Edward G. Layng. Hartshorn House #50. This house combines many Medieval Revival features. Buildings in the medieval mode are characterized by round arched entryways, tall chimneys, bay and oriel windows, towers and turrets, large mullioned windows and decoratively timbered gables. Brick and stone were the favorite materials for earlier examples of the style, while later ones usually were covered with stucco.Collection
