Photograph of the Washington School. The original school was a wooden structure built within a year of Millburn's establishment in 1857. The building in the photograph is the second Washington School, which was erected in 1895 on Millburn Avenue. The original wooden structure was moved across the street and was adapted to become the Town Hall, Police Building and Fire Station. The school remained an elementary school until 1968, when a second Washington School was constructed on Spring Street. The original building is now the Schoolhouse Plaza office building.Collection
