Oatmeal-colored linen-type cover on hardcover book with brown amorphous graphics on cover. Soil marks over all of front and back covers. Two ca. 2.25" diameter overlapping soil rings above the word "millwheel" on the right side of the front cover. Ca. .75" wide ink (?) mark to the right of the "1962" on the bottom right of the front cover; 1/2" wide curved stain to the immediate right of the rightmost circular graphic near the "1962." Light .25" wide stain to the right of the "l" in "millwheel." Back cover has a ca. 1/2" stain near the bottom edge, to the right of center, a small circular stain halfway between the top and bottom of the cover, somewhat to the left, and multiple, light, fingerprint-type stains along the right edge of the back cover. Permanent-marker inscription inside front fly leave notes: "Donated in memory of Michael O. Lewis; Jan. 1944-May 1998" (the donor's brother). Ink inscriptions to Macon (Lewis) are written throughout the Millwheel.Acquisition
