Description

1931? garden photo of concentric trellis arches, probably in the Bancroft Gherardi garden and probably installed by Helen Wodell of Wodell and Cottrell. A similar-looking trellis appears in another photo in this lot and labeled on the back "Bancroft Gherardi." Back of photo has "31" on it in pencil and 6(?)43 stamped on it. Bancroft Gherardi lived in a 14 room home with greenhouse located on Parsonage Hill Road and Adams Avenue. His wife, Mary Butler Gherardi sold the property to W. Palin Conway in November 1942.
