Postally used envelope and letter sent to Stewart Hartshorn, Sr. at Crescent Place, from Mary M. Roll in Mountainside NJ, dated March 22, 1931. The letter, which was saved by the Hartshorn family, attests to the longevity of the Shade Rollers and loyalty of customers. The letter reads as follows:
Dear Sir, Just a work of recommendation for Hartshorn Shade Rollers. I thought it might be interesting to you to know I have eighteen Hartshorn Self-Acting Shade Rollers bought from Hahne & Co. in April 1889. These rollers have been in sonstant use since that time. Not one of them have ever been out of order. This is excellent service and a satisfied customer. Yours very truly, Mary M. Roll.Acquisition
