A pair of letter and envelopes from "Will" in Millburn sent to Benjamin T. Kipam, Esq., 59 William Street, New York postmarked Millburn, July 17, 1861 and Millburn, May 24, 1862. The letters relate to a Mr. Seaver, who operates a farm, but receives money from Kipam.
The text of the letters are as follows: "July 17, 1861. Dear Ben, The two checks are received. Mr. Seaver is owing thirty dollars yet on the grain he bough, and has commenced cutting it. What had I best to do about it? Please give me your advice on the matter. I oblige write by return mail. Yours affectly, Will."
"Millburn 24th 1862. Dear Ben, I should like to have some funds if you have any for me any time within two weeks will answer. If there is anything due from Seaver I think we ought to have it. I shall want to use $100 as soon as I can get it to pay for the have I have bought on cc..(?) We are all well. Yours affectly. Will"Acquisition
