Handwritten notebook detailing membership in the Edward H. Wade Grand Army of the Republic Post 96 and "Black Book" (people dishonorably discharged, imposters, etc). Papers included are names of veterans buried in St. Stephen's cemetery. The Edward H. Wade G.A.R. Post #96 was established in 1885 and named for Captain Edward H. Wade, who died in October 1862 from wounds suffered at the battle of Antietam.Acquisition
