An envelope with light overall yellowing from the 1938 Short Hills Post Office Dedication on July 30, 1938. Upper left corner says, "Official Opening and First Day Cancel of the new U. S. Post Office at Short Hills, N.J. in Essex County; July 30, 1938; Carlisle C. Cahill; Postmaster". Envelope has been used and has 3 cents stamp in upper right corner with Short Hills Postmark with above date. Envelope is addressed in light purple script to: "Dr. H.B. Miller; 5402- 32nd Ave.; Woodside, L.I. N.Y.". On back is Flushing, N.Y. postmark in black. Purchased on eBay.
