30 Western Drive, 1928Description
Photograph of 30 Western Drive. Built in 1928 in the Tudor Revival style with a gable roof and slate covering. Exterior finish in wood timber, stucco, brick. Note patten in the brick work; note casement windows as well as leaded glass windows in diamond pattern on ground level bay window. The tall, ornamental chimneys have a separate shaft for each flue. The shafts are grouped in stacks or, more typically, lined up in rows, with each shaft set diagonally to its neighbors. This arrangement can be seen at Bacon's Castle of 1655 in Surrey County, Virginia, which is one of the few original examples of medieval designs in America.Collection
