Ranald Douglas (1853-1910), was a deaf photographer, who was acclaimed for his photographs of schools (especially schools for the deaf). He was active from 1870-1910. Douglas established his first studio in 1875 in Livingston, New Jersey, which would be the place he called home and returned to many times throughout his life. He also had studios in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Washington, D.C.Collection
