Four postcards showing early views of Paper Mill Playhouse. 2010.30.1 shows view of auditorium and stage showing setting for "Desert Storm". Card unused and brown. Other three cards show lobby view of Paper Mill. 2010.30.2 shows lobby view with wooden table and benches with clock and stairs in background. This card has hand-written message on back to "S/Sgt. Edward F. Arp" in New York, New York and is dated August 19, 1944. There are two 1/4" holes punched into corners on left side of postcard. 2010.30.3 is card showing lobby with wooden table, benches, chairs and fireplace in background. This card has hand-written note and is addressed to Miss Betsy Thompson in Windham, Connecticut. Card is postmarked Oct. 30, 1944. 2010.30.4 is most soiled and worn of cards with small stains and shows Paper Mill lobby with tiled floors, pine-paneled walls, early American fireplace and original mill's windows. Card unused.
