Description

Description from Joseph J. Balbo (b. 1936). The photograph was taken in Taylor Park, c. 1943-44 (WWII period). The pie eating contest was part of the annual games and sports contest for kids. Among those identified in the photograph are Mr. Carbone (standing in the back wearing a tie), Phil O'Cone ("chicky") kneeling, holding a shirt in his left hand. Dan Del Nonne standing with his left hand in his pants pocket. Joe Balbo sitting on the ground with his hands on his right knee. Barbara L. Fiola is sitting in the chair. Note: Joe Balbo and Barbara A. Fiola were married at St. Rose's in 1963.
