Real-photo postcard of North and South Ponds, entitled "Southern End, North and South Pond, Short Hills, N. J.", sent to Mrs. H.W. Frost, Center Tuftonboro, New Hampshire. The handwritten message on the back of the divided-back postcard states: "We just woke up to the fact Bess ought not to come to W. two days right off. So now we are planning to have Dad arrive Tuesday so Uncle Henry can take him up his regular trip unless we hear differently from you. All O.K., Lovingly -- M" The cancellation mark on the back is marked: "Short Hills N.J.; April 6; 10:30 AM; 1921" The card has overall light yellowing, especially around the edges. Both sides of the card are very lightly soiled and lightly foxed. The corners are bumped and there is edgewear, There is an diagonal crease across the card, from the middle of the left edge (front of the card) to 1/2" from the top right corner.Collection
