2006.020.001A: Report-covered, 31-page book written by Cora Louise Hartshorn and titled A Little History of the Short Hills Section of Millburn Township, N.J. developed by Stewart Hartshorn. This typed book presents a detailed history of the development of Stewart Hartshorn's "ideal village" and a history of the Cora Hartshorn Arboretum in Short Hills. Included in the book is a colored 1934 map of the original arboretum, which Cora Hartshorn's letter notes "is a photo stat (much reduced) copy of an accurate survey of the Arboretum and its paths was made by Sidney Gruneck (from Mr. Mr. Prece/Price(?) township office in his off time of course. It is a really beautiful one I have framed and should be preserved." The map features Fawn Dell Theater, Stone House, the devil's punch bowl, and a sand pit.
2006.020.001B: Included in the donation is an undated handwritten and signed letter from Cora L. Hartshorn. The letter points out the pages in the book in which arboretum information appears and a description of the colored map included in the book.
