Photograph of 430 Wyoming Avenue from 1919. Taken on the occasion of the sale of the house by Charles R. Reeve in 1919. Tower House in the Tuscan Villa Style from c. 1870s. The land was the property of Edward S. Hand and then passed to James A. Williamson in October 1872. It then passed to Emma Smith in 1912 and Frank Jewett. In 1921 the house was owned by Samuel Shackleton and stayed in the Shackleton family until 1991. The house was one of sex tower homes built in the early 1870s that were among the first homes to be built in Millburn. Originally constructed as an early development, the 6 properties were spread across farmlands.
