Refers to a box that Steve Meeker sent. "John Sprigg says the war will soon be brought to a close. He has great faith in the Democrats. He and Billy Shatter has (sic) a regular fight every day or two on the war and the leading Politicians...." Mentions Caleb Van Welt and Dave Ketchel (Retchel)?
