Postally used, B&W photographic postcard of St. Stephen's Parish House, Millburn. Postmarked July 6, 1908 and addressed to Miss Tilly Wimmer, 136 West Street, Newark, NJ. Message on front reads: "Dear Tilly-Do you remember this place. Went down to Mrs. Bucher (Busher) this evening, but she was not at home. How do you like this cool spell. Received your letter, will write later. Emma (Wimmer).
Located on the north side of Church Street, now the Community Gardens--the Parish Hall was constructed in 1898. For many years it served as the town's meeting hall. Many people believed it belonged to the town. The building was sold in 1921, but repurchased in 1922 and moved across the street & attached to the west end (rear) of the church.Collection
