Photograph of the Millburn Board of Trade Annual Dinner and Election, dated February 18, 1925. A permanent Millburn Board of Trade was organized on January 16, 1920 at Town Hall. The organization consisted of business and property owners and was the forerunner of the Chamber of Commerce. Officers elected in 1920 were: Brian F. Philpot (President), Julius Wittkop (Vice President), Andrew S. Hegeman (Secretary), Jacob Rosenthal (Treasurer). Directors were: John B. Bunnell, Frederick A. Young, Jacob Waechter, Henry D. Miller, Samuel Fruchtman, Peter Stanziale, George C. Kessler, Charles C. Ross, George J. Berstler and Stewart H. Hartshorn. The standing committee chairmen named were: Mason Young Jr. (Municipal Affairs), Thomas A. Douglas (Public Utilities), Henry Wittkop (Membership), Charles R. Reeve (Transportation), William E. Summers (Publicity).
