Four postally used envelopes addressed to Edward C. Worden, Millburn, NJ dating from 1925-1926. Envelope registered 345787 is postmarked Washington, D.C., March 19, 1925 received Millburn, March 20, 1925, Two of the envelopes were from Worden, using his professional envelopes with the return address: Edward C. Worden, Analytical and Consulting Chemist, Millburn, New Jersey (postmarked Washington D.C. December 28, 1925 and arriving in Millburn, December 29, 1925) and (Postmarked Arlington, VA December 28, 1925 and arriving in Millburn, December 30, 1925). The fourth envelope was sent via air mail and post marked Saint Paul, Minnesota, June 7 1926. Edward Chauncey Worden was a renowned chemist, who held 8 patents, issued between 1931-1934, for his work on cellulose manufacturing. He became the head of Worden Laboratory, located at his house at 118 Sagamore norad, and went on to use his expertise to develop airplane wing coatings, which were used extensively by the US Military in WWI.
