Description

"RED STONE INN, Short Hills, N.J.", which was the former home of William Ingraham Russell. Russell wrote Romance and Tragedy of a Widely Known Businessman of New York, which maligned his former neighbors in the Knollwood section of Short Hills. Postally used, postmarked Millburn, September 29, 1924, 8:00 am. Addressed to Mrs. E.M. Rudy 1609 North 16th Street, North Philadelphia, Pa. Message reads: "Dear Mother, Just came back from a long walk with sara and betty. Mrs. Faddis just went home. I surely am enjoying this trip. Sarah's home is very pretty. Betty is dear. Everybody is well. Your daughter, Peggy."
