Photograph of Winifred Snow, sister of artist Bonnie Snow, taken by Sol Young, New York. Photograph was used in the 1911 edition of the journal The Owl, which contained a tribute to Winifred Snow.
Sol (omon) Young (1865-1921) operated several successful photography studios in the early 20th century. He opened his first studio in 1893 with his wife in 1893, near Union Square in New York City. By 1915, he operated at least 7 studios in New York and one in Connecticut. Wiinifred Snow died in 1911. This photograph was most likely taken at the Union Square studio.Collection
