Stella Worth Jones Vorhees (1888-1976). An early crusader for women's suffrage and advocate for social reform, Stella Vorhees also served as the director of women's work in the Americanization Bureau of the State Department of Public Instruction in the early 1920s. She put her years in public service to work in Millburn, becoming one of the earliest women to serve on Millburn Board of Education, where she was instrumental in raising the standards of public education in the district.Collection
