Ms. Rhodes, who lived at 60 Knollwood, moved to town in 1907. Tons of great nuggets like Monroe Terrace being renamed Birch lane because "too many streets named for Democrats." (Although when the second interview discusses the renaming there is no political reference.)Also says Stewart Hartshorn "was a man to avoid because he was a dictator."
Lots of stuff on various people and homes - and "DL&W," The old railroad name was used to refer to a divorce/marriage scandal involging the Delanoys, Littles, and Walkers.
Interviewed by Mary McCormack and Fran Land. 3pp. Transcribed.
NOTE: There are a few transcriptions and loose pages but all of the information seems included in the two interviews.
