Description

Silverplate candelaabra from Woman's Club of Millburn donation, upon their disbanding. Pieces of silver had apparently been purchased when a new Woman's Club president left office (or started?). This piece is engraved "Presented to MWC in honor of Amelia Hodel 1934-1936". Bottom has the following hallmarks: horse's head in shield, unidentifiable cartouche and 3 birds in a shield. These are apparently of Freedman Silver Co., which became part of Gorham Silver. Finial (not pictured) detachable is shaped like a flame.
