Description

White tile with black ink sketch depicting train at Millburn train station with commuters standing to left of train. Across bottom of tile is written, "The Erie-Lackawanna Mental Health Special. Millburn to Hoboken Station June 18, 1975 Honoring Dr. William Furst State of New Jersey Department of Transportation The General Electric Company". Tile has 2.75" jagged crack across lower left corner. Back of tile has cork and metal hanger. Also on back is gold and black printed label from Bethelehem Art Gallery. Purchased on Ebay. Boxtop is off-white in color with separated corners & edges that are flattened. Gold label with black sketches (four) of trains in each corner and in center written, "Modern and Historical Locomotive Subjects on Tiles from drawings by noted railroad artist John Gould".
