Photographic postcard of St. Stephen's Parish House, Millburn. Postally used, postmarked Millburn, September 24, 12 M.. Front of postcard contains Elsie. Addressed to Miss Nellie Squier, #44 North Street, Roseville, New Jersey.
Message reads: "Say Nell how are you. Make a noise like didn't went. Elsie."
A later inscription reads "Gift of Mrs. Gillette, Augsut 29, 1958."
Located on the north side of Church Street, now the Community Gardens--the Parish Hall was constructed in 1898. For many years it served as the town's meeting hall. Many people believed it belonged to the town. The building was sold in 1921, but repurchased in 1922 and moved across the street & attached to the west end (rear) of the church.Acquisition
