Few photos exist of Summit School. One of the earliest public schools in Milton. Also one of the first sites to have a historical marker placed in modern Milton. In 1895 one acre each was donated by A. S. Cantrell and J. W. Cowart to the Trustees of the Summit School for the purpose of erecting a public school house. In 1908, both acres were deeded to then Milton County Board of Education for Two Hundred twenty five dollars. Milton Deed book one - Pages 440/441.Collection
