Book contains good history of the school, Crabapple area, sketches of many key structures and recipes popular in 1991.
Opening in 1933, Northwestern was one of the area's first modern schools in the area run by Fulton county for the area youth. The land on which it stood was donated by John B. Broadwell. The history sections of the book are enlightening and heart warming.
"During lunch recess, Mr. Dolvin (school principal) would pitch for baseball games. Students not playing in the games were allowed to run free in the 10 acre woods surrounding the school only to return when called back by the bell. Hopskotch and volleyball were popular but marbles was by far the most favorite activity." (see page 2)Acquisition
