Wood case and centre piece inside box. Unlocks and flips open to separate 3 pieces of a proving ring. With felt protecting each piece. Measurements on centre piece scale are in pounds. Reading on proving ring "PAT. NOS. 1948375-19274781 / CAPACITY 1000 LBS, SERIAL ON. 1803" Across this upside down reads "MOREHOUSE MACHINE CO. / YORK, PENN. U.S.A." Under the handle of the case reads: "MOREHOUSE" in writing "PROVING RING / CAP. 1000 LBS. SERIAL 1803 / MOREHOUSE MACHINE CO. / YORK, PENNA." Stamped on inside of box: "TOP OF RING / THIS WAY / 14201"
