Note: This artifact is depicted in a glass slide image: 1997.35.147 Flex Tester -Two loose pieces lying flat centre of object. -Objects main surface is black in colour. -Some silver metal. -Some red plastic/where knobs are. -Material in spot where material would have been tested. -Weights on back, front, being where on/off knobs are. Knobs on front / timer knob, on / off / and timer plus fuse / start and stop switches. Read on front starting at the top left corner "ON / TIMER / ON / OFF / FUSE / START / TURN PAST 5 / THEN SET FOR TIME" In a circle on the timer reads: "TURN PAST 5 / THEN SET FOR TIME" Written on top, front "CSI" Written on left side "CSI STOLL / FLEX TESTER / CUSTOM SCIENTIFIC INSTRUMENTS INC. ARLINGTON, N.J. / NO. CS--89--020" Left, top counter reads "01496"
