23 Taber abrasor test pads, 18 appear to be a brown plastic synthetic with the texture of rough leather or canvas, 5 are black sand paper. All are 10 cm in diameter, and each has a .5cm hole in the center of the pad. Some appear to have been used and have a warn down patch in a circle around the pad, other have no obvious wear. The Brown leathery tests pads have information to be filled out on the back side including: " Sample No, description, wear cycles, weight before and after, weight loss, Test conditions, etc" This includes a brand name: Taber Instruments corp, North Tonawanda, N.Y.,USA
The sand paper pads do not have this brand or information, they instead have the brand Carborundum and Niagara Falls, as well as N.Y written on the back. There is also what might be the grain of the sandpaper " 150E" . There is a brand stamp on the back, it appears to be a waterfall.Collection
