Information about P-K Mills from Library and Archives Canada:
P-K Mills Ltd. was established in 1928 as a subsidiary of Mercury Mills. It was the successor company to the partnership P-K Mills, Listowel, and the Perfect-Knit Mills Ltd., which was established in Listowel, Ontario in 1913. Both Maitland Knitting and Maitland Spinning were incorporated in 1928 as subsidiaries of P-K Mills Ltd (and thus Mercury Mills). Operating out of two separate facilities in Listowel, the Maitland companies produced commercial and hand knitting yarns. P-K Mills Ltd. sold its assets to Mercury Mills in 1940, and surrendered its charter in 1943. Maitland Knitting also ceased to operate in 1943. Maitland Spinning became an operating division of Mercury Mills in 1942, and was sold to Spinrite Yarns and Dyers Ltd. in 1952.
